Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of Oman, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, affirmed today his country’s unwavering position towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
During a phone call with Fatah Central Committee secretary-general, Jibril Rajoub, the Omani minister affirmed his country’s support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the achievement of an independent state of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the Arab stance.
Rajoub expressed the Palestinian leadership’s confidence and appreciation of Oman’s role and its balanced and wise policy towards Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.
