Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh met tonight with his Libyan counterpart, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, in the Libyan capital Tripoli and briefed him on the latest political developments in Palestine, particularly the racist and oppressive Israeli measures against the Palestinian people.
A statement by the Prime Minister’s office said Shtayyeh thanked Libya for its support for the Palestinian people and cause in their struggle for liberation, independence and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and Libya’s stand against accepting Israel as an observer in the African Union.
The Libyan Prime Minister Dbeibeh reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian people and their just cause in international forums.
Libya and Palestine also signed five agreements and understandings in different political, diplomatic and economic fields as well as creating job opportunities for Palestinians in Libya.
