This month marks the 29th anniversary of the martyrdom of the prominent fighter Atef Bseisu, who was one of the most prominent security leaders in the Fatah movement.
The official, Atef Bseiso, was born on 23 August 1948 to a large Palestinian family in Gaza, the 44 years old official is the top intelligence aide to the P.L.O. chairman was assassinated in the French capital, Paris.

The martyr Bseisu was also among the Palestinian cadres placed on the Israeli assassination list, claiming that he led the groups that carried out some operation.
On June 10, 1992, the Palestinian leadership, with the participation of a number of senior Tunisian officials and hundreds of popular crowds, buried the body of the martyr Bseisu to his final resting place in the “Martyrs of Palestine” cemetery in the Hammam al-Shatt area on the outskirts of the Tunisian capital.
The body of the martyr was transferred after the funeral prayer to the memorial commemorating the Palestinian and Tunisian martyrs who were victims of the Israeli raid on the headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Hammam al-Shatt in October 1985.
The martyr Atef Bseiso was buried next to the tombs of the martyrs: Salah Khalaf “Abu Iyad”, Hayel Abdel Hamid “Abu al-Hol”, Fakhri al-Omari “Abu Muhammad”.
