A senior Pakistani diplomat Monday affirmed that his country would not recognize Israel until a concrete solution is found to the Palestinian question.
“Pakistan in any situation cannot establish relations with Israel until a concrete and permanent solution is found to the problem of Palestine,” Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told reporters while speaking to his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Multan.
Qureshi rebuffed reports about pressure on Pakistan to recognize Israel.
“We will not tolerate any demands neither we are under any compulsion to recognize the Jewish state,” he added.
