One million people have signed a document known as the Palestine Charter and launched by activists from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who are opposed to UAE normalization of relations with Israel.
The Emirati League for Resisting Normalization announced today that the number of signatories to the “Palestine Charter” has reached the one million mark.
The League, in cooperation with a group of Arab and international organizations, launched a campaign to support the Palestinian cause and reject normalization by signing the electronic Palestine Charter by marking “Peoples Against Normalization” on all social media sites.
The signing of this charter comes in the context of the popular steps that were launched to express rejection of the Emirati-Bahraini-Israeli normalization agreements, which were officially signed yesterday in Washington.
“The feeling of responsibility prompted us to launch the Peoples Against Normalization campaign and to sign the Palestine Charter coinciding with the normalization agreement between the UAE and Bahrain on the one hand, and the Zionist entity on the other,” said the group.
