The Palestinian National Liberation Movement “Fatah” affirmed that Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities are the embodiment of the conscience of the Arab nation and the symbol of its existence, and that any concession or abandonment of Jerusalem is a betrayal and surrender to the Zionist colonial project and to the false Zionist narrative about Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first Qiblah and third holiest site in Islam.
In a statement issued by the Media and Culture Commission today, Thursday, on the 51st anniversary of the arson attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, Fatah stressed that our Palestinian people will continue their struggle with greater determination to liberate Jerusalem and its sanctities, and Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of the free and independent Palestinian Arab state.
Fatah reiterated the comprehensive Palestinian national position expressed by President Mahmoud Abbas that there is no peace and stability in the region except with the liberation of Jerusalem, the establishment of a free and independent Palestine as well as the return of refugees.
Fatah saluted the masses of our people everywhere, particularly in Jerusalem, for their their defense of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities.
