The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Thursday night announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths among Palestinians in the diaspora has risen to 2,264 and 160 respectively.
The ministry said in a statement that there were 2,264 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, 160 fatalities and 1,284 recovery cases among Palestinians in the diaspora.
Providing more details, the ministry confirmed that a 62-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in Saudi Arabia, bringing the total death toll among the Palestinian community in the country to 42.
In the US, 14 new coronavirus cases were recorded, raising the total number of confirmed cases among the Palestinian community in the country to 926. The death toll and recovery cases among the community in the country stood at 63 and 379 respectively.
