President Mahmoud Abbas made today a phone call with Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, and discussed with him the ongoing efforts to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
President Abbas also discussed with Sheikh Sabah issues of mutual interests for both countries, and wished him a swift end to the current coronavirus pandemic affecting the entire world, including Kuwait.
The President further offered his thanks to the leadership and people of Kuwait for their unswerving support of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
Furthermore, President Mahmoud Abbas received yesterday a phone call from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and discussed with him the ongoing efforts to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Emir of Qatar conveyed to President Abbas his wishes of an imminent end to the current global crisis created by the novel disease, which has also affected Palestine during the past few weeks.
President Abbas expressed appreciation for the Qatari Emir and for the entire people of Qatar for their support of the Palestinian people, and wished them as well an end to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
