13/10/1974: Tubas battle: a Palestinian village northeast of Nablus on the edge of the Jordan Valley. It was a big battle that caused heavy losses to the enemy forces by the Palestinian Mujahideen, and the fight was face-to-face. When the rebels’ ammunition was running out, their commander, Mazen Abu Ghazaleh, ordered them to retreat and covered their withdrawal himself. Enemy officers and soldiers approached him asking to raise his hands and he did and then surprised them by throwing his last bomb at them. Then he was martyred.
