The Nablus Court of First Instance today sentenced a local resident to five years in prison for dealing in illegal Israeli settlement products.
The court found the local, identified only by his first Arabic initials, guilty of violating several articles in the Palestinian law on banning and fighting settlement products, including cheating people, which is a crime punishable by three years in prison.
The Palestinian Authority considers all Israeli settlement products illegal and therefore bans selling them or trading in them by Palestinians, as it also calls on the international community to boycott and not to deal with all settlement products since they violate international law.
