The Palestinian National Liberation Movement, Fatah, affirmed today that the relationship of the Palestinian people and their leadership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is brotherly, historical and indissoluble relationship since the Kingdom stood at the forefront in defense of Palestine and Jerusalem, and provided continuous support to the Palestinian people to strengthen their steadfastness on their land and to continue their struggle for the liberation of their homeland.
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, member of Fatah Central Committee and its spokesman, stressed in a press statement that the movement “condemns the dubious voices that are trying to harm this relationship, especially in these critical circumstances that require all of us to close ranks to preserve Jerusalem and our Islamic and Christian holy places in it.”
He said that “the Palestinian people appreciate the authentic and honorable Arab positions of the Saudi royal family since the establishment of the kingdom to the present day, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, in preserving our national, Arab and Islamic rights in Palestine.”
He continued, “Fatah movement calls on everyone to reject the division, and it will not allow anyone to strike a wedge between the two brotherly peoples, Saudi and Palestinian, and calls for not giving this opportunity to anyone who wants to harm them.”
Abu Rudeineh affirmed that “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman, will remain a strong and solid supporter of the Palestinian people until they are liberated from occupation and enjoy freedom as they establish their independent state with holy Jerusalem as its capital.”
