President Mahmoud Abbas held yesterday two separate meetings with Charles Michel, Prime Minister of Belgium, and Jean Asselborn, Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, during which he briefed them on the latest developments with the Palestinian issue..
He also briefed them on the situation of the Palestinians living under the Israeli occupation and its measures against them, highlighting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement to annex the occupied Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea and Israel’s withholding of the Palestinian clearance tax revenues.
Michel stressed in the meeting his country’s support for efforts to bring peace, security and stability to the Middle East.
