18/8/1974: Archbishop Hilarbon Capuchi, the Christian religious leader in Palestine, was arrested by enemy forces on his return from Lebanon through Ras Naqoura, on the pretext of belonging to Fatah and transferring weapons in his car. This crime has been condemned by many leaders and churches in the world, including Pope Paul, Shenouda in Egypt and Muslim and Arab bodies. Capuchi remained steadfast, did not recognize the Zionist court until he was deported on 6/11 1977.
