Today, the Palestinian presidency condemned the ongoing attacks by settlers against Palestinian citizens under the protection of occupation forces in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, particularly the attacks on the villages of Hawwara, Beita, and Surra in the Nablus governorate, which resulted in dozens of injuries, the intimidation of children, the destruction of property, and the blocking of roads.
The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stated in a statement that the occupation army and its extremist settlers are waging a daily full-scale war on Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps, holding the occupation government accountable for the settlers’ continuous terrorist attacks against Palestinian civilians and holy sites, which lead to more tension and escalation, as well as an explosion if they continue.
“We call on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to intervene immediately to provide international protection for the Palestinian people,” said Abu Rudeineh, highlighting that the occupation is exploiting international silence to escalate its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people in an effort to exploit Palestinian blood in the Israeli elections.
Thursday, Abu Rudeineh warned of the danger of Jewish extremists’ calls for a large-scale storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its desecration, emphasising that “the Islamic and Christian holy sites are a red line, and we will not allow any harm to them. If the Israeli government wants to stop the dangerous escalation taking place in all Palestinian territories, it must stop its crimes and end the settlers’ attacks.”
