Today, Dr. Mohamed Ghareeb, the secretary general of the Fatah Movement in Egypt, met with H.E. Dr. Éric Chevallier, the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Arab Republic of Egypt, to express gratitude and appreciation to France for its important historic role in recognizing the State of Palestine, mobilizing the European position toward recognizing the State of Palestine, supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, working to support recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, and for the distinguished relationship with the Palestinian Authority. They also discussed France’s leading role in achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace through ending the occupation and granting the Palestinian people their freedom and legitimate rights in their independent Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Manal Al-Abadleh, deputy secretary general, and the political adviser at the French Embassy.
