Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for President Mahmoud Abbas, has held the U.S. administration directly responsible for the ongoing violence in Gaza, including the devastating Israeli attack in Beit Lahiya earlier today.
In a press statement, Abu Rudeineh said, “The Israeli occupation forces are turning continuous U.S. support into genocidal massacres, with mass killings that have claimed the lives of dozens of children and women, as seen today in Beit Lahiya and other areas of Gaza.”
He further condemned Israeli military operations in the West Bank, targeting villages, cities, refugee camps, and the persistent attacks by settlers.
Abu Rudeineh added: “We hold the U.S. administration fully accountable for perpetuating this bloodshed, as it provides political cover for the Israeli occupation, enabling it to evade accountability and defy international legal resolutions. This includes the most recent UN General Assembly resolution calling for the implementation of the Hague Court’s ruling to end the aggression and bring an end to the Israeli occupation.”
