Israeli warplanes tonight launched several airstrikes targeting the vicinity of the main headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and the vicinity of al-Quds hospital in Tal al-Hawa neighborhood to the west of the city of Gaza.
A statement issued by PRCS said Israeli warplanes shelled for over 3o minutes several residential buildings and main roads in the vicinities of its main headquarters and al-Quds hospital.
The shelling caused shrapnel to fly inside the PRCS headquarters, where around 8,000 displaced people are seeking refuge, in addition to its staff.
PRCS called on the international community to provide prompt protection to civilians and medical crews.
