Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh today warned of the serious repercussions due to the Israeli occupation army’s escalation in the West Bank districts of Jenin and Bethlehem, which resulted in the death of three young men and the wounding of many others, as well as allowing settlers to storm the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem in violation of its sanctity, which is a provocation to the feelings of Muslims on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Prime Minister considered the Israeli crime a new chapter in the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people, in which the settlers take part in the direct instigation of the Israeli prime minister, who allowed the settlers to use weapons to kill people.
He considered this decision a matter of great danger that demands urgent international intervention to provide protection for the Palestinian people and stop the killing at the hands of the occupation soldiers and settlers.
Shtayyeh called on international human rights organizations to condemn the Israeli crime, holding Israel “fully responsible for the serious repercussions that will result from its horrific violations against our people in the occupied territories, which international human rights organizations considered in their recent reports to amount to war crimes and ethnic cleansing, which require accountability in the International Criminal Court.”
He pointed out that “the Israeli crimes in Jenin and Bethlehem reflect the doctrine of murder and intimidation espoused by the leaders of the Israeli military establishment, occupation soldiers and settlers to impose facts with force in the occupied territories.”
