Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh today warned that Israel’s persistent killings and settlement construction will push the situation towards an overall explosion.
Abu Rudeineh stated that Israel should learn that the situation is no longer tolerable and that its continued extrajudicial killings of Palestinians and colonial settlement construction will lead to a conflagration with unforeseeable consequences for the whole region.
Commenting on the withdrawal of the United States forces from Afghanistan and the Taliban’s control over the country, he added that the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories will come to an end, particularly that history has shown time and again that the will of the people always triumph over foreign occupation and colonialism.
He added that the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan demonstrates that foreign protection for any state cannot bring peace and security to it while reiterating that recognizing the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights, ending the occupation and establishing the Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the UN resolutions are the only way to guarantee achieving security, peace and stability in the Middle East.
