The European Union renewed its firm commitment to a negotiated and viable two-state solution based on internationally agreed criteria.
In a statement issued by the EU spokesperson, the EU congratulated Tor Wennesland, Norway’s Special Representative to the Middle East Peace Process, for his appointment as the new UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Personal Representative to the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority.
