The
Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Thursday night announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and the death toll among Palestinians in the diaspora have risen to 3,801 and 193 respectively.
The ministry said in a statement that there were 3,801 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, 193 fatalities and 1,643 recovery cases among Palestinians in the diaspora.
Providing more details, the ministry confirmed that a 78-year-old Palestinian died of the highly contagious virus and another tested positive for it in Saudi Arabia, raising the Palestinian death toll and confirmed cases in the country to 52 and 104 respectively.
In the US, an 82-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in New Jersey and 14 others contracted it in Washington, Michigan and New York, bringing the death toll and confirmed cases among Palestinians in the country to 68 and 2,062 respectively.
In Qatar, the ministry statement pointed out that 26 Palestinians contracted the virus and 20 others recovered from it in this country, bringing the total Palestinian confirmed cases and recovery cases to 708 and 610 respectively.
