Israeli Violations in Palestine
The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on our Palestinian
people by violations against prisoners in the occupation prisons, Establishing
Israeli settlement in the Palestinian territories, military notifications, settler
attacks, arrests among Palestinian citizens and children, acts of Judaization of Jerusalem, and racist statements in the Israeli media.
May 24, 2020
- Israeli police assaulted a number of Palestinian Muslim worshipers
performing nightly prayer at Bab al-Asbat, outside Al-Aqsa Mosque
compound in Jerusalem. - The Palestinian villagers of Huwara town, south of Nablus, fended off an Israeli settlers’ attack against their town.
- Israeli forces detained at least three Palestinians from the southern West
Bank districts of Hebron and Bethlehem.
May 25, 2020
- Israeli forces demolished an animal barn and a tent in the Zaatra wilderness, east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, owned by a local Palestinian, under the pretext they were built without a permit.
- Israeli settlers opened fire and injured two Palestinian herders near the Ramallah-area village of al-Mughayyer.
- An Israeli settler ran over and killed three sheep while injuring a dozen
others as other settlers set fire to crops in the south of the West Bank.
May 26, 2020
- Israeli forces notified to demolish 10 wells built to collect rain water in the
town of Az-Zawiya to the west of Salfit, the northern occupied West Bank. - Israeli forces dismantled an agricultural shed belonging to a local resident
in the town of Aqraba to the south of Nablus, the northern occupied West
Bank. - Israeli police banned Aqsa Mosque guard Hamza Nimr from entering al-
Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem for six months. - Israeli forces prevented Muslim worshipers’ access to al-Ibrahimi mosque in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
- Israeli settlers, backed by Israeli forces, seized today vast areas of land located between the towns of Deir Dibwan and Rammun to the east of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank.
May 27, 2020
- Israeli forces demolished two tourist facilities in the northern West Bank
district of Nablus. - Israeli forces demolished a house under construction in Furush Beit Dajan
village, to the east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus. - Israeli forces ordered a halt on the construction of some structures in al-
Walaja village, west of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem. - Israeli forces detained at least four Palestinians from the West Bank districts of Tulkarem and Ramallah.
- Israeli forces demolished three structures in the southern West Bank
district of Hebron. - Israeli forces dismantled a number of vegetable stalls in the northern Jordan valley.
- A Palestinian family was forced to tear down parts of its home in Silwan
neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem after receiving demolition order from the Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem.
May 28, 2020
- The Israeli authorities prevented the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC) from continuing restoration works in the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the occupied southern West Bank city of Hebron.
- The Israeli army detained eight Palestinians during raids across the West
Bank and East Jerusalem. - Six Palestinian families were informed by the Israeli army that the homes they built in the village of al-Tira, southwest of Ramallah, will be demolished for construction without permit.
May 29, 2020
- Israeli occupation forces prevented the call for dawn prayer at the flashpoint Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, as well as denied access of worshipers to the mosque.
- Israeli occupation forces ordered a halt on a road rehabilitation project in the village of Rashaida, to the east of Bethlehem in the occupied West
Bank. - Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at the entrance of Silat al-Harithiya town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
- Israel seized a plot of farmland in Yaabad town, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
- Israeli police and intelligence detained today the former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and current head of the Higher Islamic Council, Sheikh Ekrema
Sabri. - A Palestinian family from the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukaber embarked on demolishing its own home after it was forced to do so by Israeli municipality to avoid paying exorbitant costs if the municipality carries out the demolition.
- At least five Palestinians, including a photojournalist, were injured by Israeli occupation forces during the weekly protest against Israeli settlement construction, in the village of Kafr Qaddum in the northern West Bank.
- At least four Palestinians were detained and had their vehicle confiscated
by Israeli occupation forces near the village of Sebastia, to the north of
Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
May 30, 2020
- Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian youth in occupied East
Jerusalem and a man in the north of the West Bank. - A Palestinian man who was shot and killed this morning by Israeli police in
Jerusalem’s Old City was unarmed and said to be of special needs. - Two Palestinian brothers from the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of
Jabal al-Mukaber embarked on demolishing their two homes after they
were asked to do so by Israeli municipality to avoid paying exorbitant costs if the municipality carries out the demolition on its own. - Illegal Israeli settlers protected by a military escort today attacked with
stones and empty bottles Palestinian civilians’ homes in the Old City quarter, in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.
