Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh said today that the government has decided to ban movement of the public during upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday, as part of nationwide efforts to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
He said during a press conference in Ramallah that movement will be banned in all cities, towns and villages, from the evening of Friday, May 22, to the evening of Monday, May 25.
Shtayyeh said a cabinet session will be held on Tuesday, May 26, to look into the measures to return life back to normal depending on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The Premier said however, all businesses will continue working as usual until the evening of Friday, May 22.
