Arab local councils in Israel continued today an open-ended general strike in protest against failure of the Israeli government to compensate them for the great losses suffered in light of the coronavirus pandemic and to treat them equally to their Jewish counterparts.
The strike remained in force for the second day in a row and may expand in the coming days if the Israeli government keeps ignoring their demands, according to the Regional Committee of the Heads of Arab Local Councils, which organized the strike.
