In a step seen as a first in the West Bank, a coronavirus car-sterilization shop has opened at one entrance road into the city of Hebron, according to the city’s municipality.
It said a local resident has proposed setting up a car sterilization station and all cars entering Hebron from the northern entrance would go through a tent-like structure where they will get sprayed with alcoholic disinfectants to sterilize the outer body in case they were carrying the coronavirus.
Hebron mayor, Taysir Abu Sneineh, welcomed this initiative and decided to adopt it, along with the Ministry of Health, saying that if the results come out positive, it will be enforced on the other entrances to the southern West Bank Palestinian city.
