A group of associations, civil organizations and political movements organized two protests against the “Deal of the Century”, in front of the headquarters of the government commissioner for the province of Jaén and Malacca, southern Spain.
Demonstraters expressed their anger at what they considered contempt by the United States of the principles of the United Nations and international law, by proposing such a plan.
A signed statement was distributed by the participent political organizations and movements, which are estimated at 15 civil societies and political movements, through which they sent several messages, first to the international community, inviting it to the need to activate international accountability to protect international peace and security.
As for the second message, it is addressed to the European community inviting it to activate the second article of the partnership agreement with Israel and the European Union to nullify it, while the third message was for the Spanish government to call for recognition of the Palestinian state in response to this deal, in addition to preventing the import of settlement products established on the occupied Palestinian territories, and preventing Spanish companies to cooperate and contract with Israeli companies.
