Fatah in Egypt participated on Saturday in the celebration of National Day of Palestinian Women which organized by the General Union of Palestinian Women in Egypt.
Secretary General of Fatah movement in Egypt Dr. Mohamed Ghareeb said that Palestinian women plays an important and pivotal role in the national liberation since the outset of the revolution till this day, she is a symbol of steadfastness. therefore, the adoption of this day as a national day for Palestinian women is recognition of their great role.
Dr. Ghareeb thanked President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh, and Minister Amal Hamad, for approving this day as a national day for Palestinian women who is a model of sacrifice. She is the martyr, prisoner, mother, sister and daughter who struggles with men for the independence of the Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The celebration was attended by ambassador of Palestine to Egypt Diab Allouh, who praised Palestinian women in his remarks, Furthermore, President of general union of Palestinian women Mrs. Abla Aldegani delivered a speech.
It is worth mentioning, that the Cabinet at its 13th session, on July 17, 2019, headed by Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, adopted October 26th of each year as a national day for Palestinian women.
