President Mahmoud Abbas arrived early today morning in New York, where he is scheduled to participate in the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
The first day of the high level General Debate of the 74th session will start on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, under the theme – “Galvanizing multilateral efforts for poverty eradication, quality education, climate action and inclusion.”
During the High Level Week, several high level events will be held on climate change, sustainable development, financing for development, elimination of nuclear weapons and progress made in addressing the priorities of small island developing States.
Yesterday, President Abbas concluded a three-day official visit to Norway during which he met high-profile officials, including the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Norway
