17/6/1930: Red Tuesday: British Mandate forces tried the heroes of the battle of Al-Buraq Sharif which is the western wall of the walls of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Three of them were sentenced to death by hanging on this da (Tuesday). The poet Ibrahim Toukan wrote the famous poem “for their memorial” that he called: Red Tuesday. Every one was executed in an hour, and they were racing to be each of them before his colleague: Fouad Hijazi, Mohammed Jamjoom, Atta Zeer.
