29 May 1948: UN Security Council Resolution no. (50) imposed a four-week truce in Palestine in the so-called “first truce” after the tangible progress of the Palestine revolution and some Arab armies and their victories over the Zionists. The Zionists themselves violated this truce after getting ready with the equipment and soldiers before the expiry of the term!
