On Saturday, March 30, 2019, The Palestinian National Liberation Movement in Egypt marked the 43rd anniversary of the Palestine Land Day at the headquarter of the movement.
The symposium was attended by the members of regional committee of movement in Egypt, representatives of popular organizations as well as a number of the Palestinian community in Egypt.
In his remark, Dr. Mohamed Ghareeb Secretary-General of Fatah movement in Egypt said “Today, We are marking the 43rd anniversary of Land Day the first popular intifada at the enemy, which established the meaning of Land conflicts between the people who displaced from their land and land grabbers”
He pointed out the world’s role to put an end to the occupation, stressed that the Palestinian people who lost over a hundred thousand martyrs insist on going forward to freedom and independence to gets their rights.
” We want the land day to be like a cry heard round the world, under the attempts to obliterate the Palestinian identity, and conspiracies aimed at abusing the rights of the Palestinian people, continuing occupation, and going ahead in the deal of the century, which showed US bias in favor of the occupying power ” Dr. M Ghareeb added.
The symposium included a documentary film about Land Day and a series of participation that confirm the importance of land Day, and asserted the need of steadfastness, resistance and rejection of occupation and settlement from all the Palestinian people.
