ROME, Monday, December 03, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday met during two separate meetings with Italian president, Sergio Mattarella, and Italy’s Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, in the Italian capital, Rome, where they discussed the latest political developments in the region.
They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them.
The meeting was attended by Riyad Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Majdi al-Khalidi, the president’s diplomatic adviser, Nabil Shaath, advisor to Abbas for external affairs and international relations, Mahmoud al-Habbash, Abbas’ advisor on religious affairs, and Mai Alkaila, Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Italy.
President Abbas arrived in Rome on Sunday night on an official visit.
