Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh arrived today evening in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, to participate in the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC) Donors Meeting, and hold bilateral meetings with the Norwegian government.
The Prime Minister will review before the donors’ meeting tomorrow the difficult financial situation the Palestinian government is facing and will call for exerting pressure on Israel to stop its deductions from Palestinian tax funds, as well as for these countries to increase their aid to enable the Palestinian government to meet its obligations.
Shtayyeh is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his Norwegian counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Speaker of Parliament, and other official figures, where they will discuss ways to enhance the Palestinian-Norwegian bilateral relations.
