The ruling Palestinian Fatah movement today condemned and rejected the Israeli “terrorist organizations” classification of six Palestinian human rights and civil society groups operating in the occupied West Bank.
Fatah spokesman Usama Qawasmi considered the classification in a statement as “an explicit declaration by the occupation government headed by Naftali Bennett of its plan to silence voices that expose its crimes against humanity and its flagrant violations of international and humanitarian law.”
He said that “Israel is an entity built on dictatorship, and its claim to democracy is a lie and a cover for its crimes in the occupied Palestinian territory.”
Qawasmi, who is also member of Fatah Revolutionary Council, stressed that “the world’s silence on Israel’s mounting crimes against our people encouraged it to take such baseless decisions. Our people will not give in to this wicked aggression.”
