The Council of the Arab League is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session on Tuesday to discuss the latest Israeli assaults in Jerusalem.
The General Secretariat of the Arab League announced that an extraordinary virtual session will be held at the level of Arab foreign ministers, at the request of Palestine in the wake of the current Israeli crimes and assaults against Palestinians and Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Hosam Zaki, said that the ministers are set to discuss the grave Israeli assaults against worshippers at Al-Aqsa as well as the forced expulsions of a number of Palestinian families from their houses in Sheikh Jarrah, while noting that these assaults and expulsions fall within Israel’s systematic policy to obliterate the Palestinian identity of Jerusalem and change legal and historical status of its holy sites.
