Saudi Arabia condemned today the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to open up bidding for the construction of hundreds of new settler units in occupied Palestinian territories.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry stressed in a statement its rejection of the Israeli settlement plans to construct 1257 new housing units in an illegal West Bank settlement; located between the cities of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
The ministry said the Israeli settlement expansion decision runs counter to United Nations resolution and would undermine the two-state solution and efforts exerted towards achieving peace in the region.
