The Palestinian Ministry of Health received today part of two grants amounting to $11 million from two Arab funds intended for its hospitals, according to a Ministry statement.
It said the Kuwait Fund for Development and Al Aqsa Fund of the Islamic Development Bank have donated the grant at ceremonies held in Ramallah.
Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said each of the Kuwait Fund and Al Aqsa Fund have contributed $5.5 million to help the Ministry deal with the Coronavirus pandemic and to provide high quality medical services.
She said the grants will go to importing, installing and operating medical equipment in hospitals run by the Ministry in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
