A total of 403 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths were confirmed in the West Bank in the last 24 hours raising the total number of cases in Palestine to 10923, today said the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
It said 40 of the patients are in intensive care in hospitals and four are on respirators.
While 11 cases in the West Bank have recovered for a total of 2106, the overall active cases in Palestine stood at 8750, said the ministry.
With the two new corona-related deaths, total deaths since March is now 67, among them 63 in the West Bank, three in East Jerusalem and one in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry said that out of the new 403 cases, 91 were in East Jerusalem, 49 in the Ramallah district with only seven in the city, and 119 in the Hebron district, including 26 in the city and 29 in the town of Idna. Hebron district has the highest number of cases with over 5000.
Nablus city had 19 new cases and Aqbat Jabr refugee camp in Jericho had 23.
