When Palestinian schools start the new 2020-2021 academic year on September 6, they will use an education system that combines between in class and online teaching, today said the Ministry of Education.
Classes were suspended in early March following the coronavirus outbreak in Palestine and some classes continued online only for a while.
The Ministry said students will study in school part of the time and online from home in other times in accordance with the protocols set by the Ministry of Health dictated by the coronavirus situation.
It said it plans to launch a smooth and safe start to the new school year.
Despite closure of schools, some 80,000 Palestinian students were able to sit last month for the general high school matriculation exam, tawjihi, that allows them to be admitted to universities around the world.
The corona pandemic has interrupted education throughout the world.
