The Palestinian National Council (PNC) affirmed marking 53 years since the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, and which Palestinians refer to as “Naksa”, continuing to confront all conspiracy projects aimed at liquidating the Palestinian national presence on the land of our ancestors.
The council stressed the commitment to proceed with the implementation of the decision to break away from all the agreements with the Israeli occupation in defense of rights, including the right to existence.
PNC said in a statement that there is no alternative to ending the occupation and restoring the legitimate rights to freedom, independence and return, and the establishment of an independent state along borders of June 4, 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital.
The council maintained that Israel’s terrorist policies and practices, including its plans to annex parts of the West Bank, reflect the determination of the Israeli government to continue occupying the lands of the Palestinian state, and dragging the region towards further deterioration and escalation.
PNC Stressed the importance of aligning behind the Palestinian leadership represented by President Mahmoud Abbas to confront the so-called US “deal of the Century” and Israeli annexation plans, calling for ending the internal division and restoring unity under the umbrella of the Palestine Liberation Organization.
