Minster of Health Mai Alkaila confirmed today that seven of the 17 governorates of Palestine are now completely free of the novel COVID-19 (coronavirus) after the last seven active cases in Ramallah have recovered.
Alkaila said in a statement that seven new recoveries were recorded in the occupied West Bank governorate of Ramallah, three in Jerusalem governorate and two in occupied East Jerusalem. She said the latest figures raise the total cases of recovery in Palestine to 452, which represents %81.4 percent of the overall coronavirus cases.
The Health Minister added that Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jenin, Jericho, Tubas, Qalqilya and the Jordan Valley governonrates are now free of the viral disease.
She pointed out that 45,343 people have been tested for coronavirus, noting that there are 99 actives cases, 59 of which are in East Jerusalem, eight in Jerusalem governorate, 25 in Jericho, two in Nablus, one in Tulkarm and four in the Gaza Strip.
Alkaila said 18,971 people are now undergoing home quarantine.
She confirmed that all the active cases are now in a stable health condition and none of them were placed in the ICU.
