The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Tuesday evening announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths among Palestinians in the diaspora has risen to 87, while the number of patients stood at 1,573.
The ministry said in a statement that the number of confirmed novel coronavirus cases stood at 1,573, while the number of fatalities and recovery cases among Palestinians in the diaspora increased to 87 and 746 respectively.
Providing more details, the ministry said that a Palestinian died of the novel coronavirus in Iraq, becoming the first virus fatality among the Palestinian community in this country.
Meanwhile, a 74-year-old Palestinian died due to the virus in Kuwait, raising the total number of the virus fatalities among the Palestinian community in this country to two. The total number of confirmed cases among the community stood at 16, including nine who recovered.
