Minister of Health Mai Alkaila announced that 54 new recoveries from of the novel coronavirus were recorded today, raising the total recovered cases to 222 in the occupied territories.
She said in a press release that 47 of the recoveries were recorded in the governorates of Ramallah, Hebron, Bethlehem and Jerusalem, while the seven others were recorded in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
She pointed out that no new coronavirus cases were recorded today, adding that the total number of confirmed cases in the occupied territories stood at 543.
She noted that the total number of patients who recovered from coronavirus accounted for 40.8 percent of the total number of cases registered since the outbreak of the pandemic in the occupied territories.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Health spokesman Kamal Shakhra said that some new 100 recovery cases were recorded in occupied territories this week, noting that the condition of infected patients in quarantine centers was stable and that none of them was admitted to the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and deaths among Palestinians in the diaspora has risen to 1,300 and 70 respectively, while 526 Palestinian patients in the diaspora have recovered so forth.
It elaborated that 14 new Palestinians tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the US; 11 cases in New Jersey and three others in Michigan, while one case has received.
This raises the total number of confirmed cases among Palestinian expatriates in the US to 709.
