President Mahmoud Abbas made today a phone call with his Comorian counterpart, Azali Assoumani, and discussed with him the ongoing efforts to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
President Abbas briefed the Comorian President on the measures taken so far by the State of Palestine to contain the spread of the disease, but said more efforts are needed by all countries in this regard.
The President also discussed with the Comorian counterpart the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in Comoros, saying he was confident the people and leadership of the country would successfully overcome the ordeal.
Assoumani thanked President Abbas for his care for the issues of brotherly countries and invited him to visit Comoros after the end of the current global coronavirus crisis.
