Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riad al-Malki met with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Schallenberg, where he briefed him on the latest political developments in Palestine, particularly Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in light of the US administration’s encouragement.
During a meeting held on the sidelines of the high-level meeting of the 43rd session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, al-Malki stressed the Palestinian people and leadership’s rejection of the so-called US-touted deal of the century, which was also rejected by most of the world countries, and which he stressed will not bring peace.
Al-Maliki expressed the dissatisfaction of the State of Palestine with attempts to politicize the International Criminal Court and send Memorandums to the ICC Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, as it threatens justice and the right of the Palestinian people to justice.
For his part, the Austrian minister praised the historical ties that bind the two people, affirming Austria’s rejection of any unilateral steps and its adherence to the two-state solution, international law and United Nations resolutions, and internationally-accepted terms of reference.
