Palestinian factions in the occupied territories today called for a major rally in Ramallah city center and in Gaza city tomorrow at noon as President Mahmoud Abbas, who arrived today in the United States, gets ready to address a special United Nations Security Council (UNSC) session on the American so-called deal of the century, strongly opposed by the Palestinians.
The factions said in a statement that the rallies are intended to show the opposition of the Palestinian people to the American plan in an effort to thwart it. They will also show support for the Palestinian leadership’s opposition to the deal and its struggle against it.
President Abbas is expected to speak before the UNSC tomorrow to explain the Palestinian position from the deal of the century, which aims to put an end to Palestinian rights while helping Israel to entrench as an occupation power.
