23/8/1929: Palestinian disturbance occurs in several cities as a Palestinian reaction to the Jewish demonstrations. There, the protesters listened to Sheikh Hassan Abu al-Saud’s speech on the dangers that threaten Islamic holy sites. Subsequent clashes have killed 133 Jews, injured 339, killed 116 Palestinians and wounded 232, most of them by British soldiers.
