St. Kitts and Nevis “formally recognizes the State of Palestine as a free, independent and sovereign state based on its 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital,” Mark Brantley, the foreign minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, said on Monday.
He also reiterated the support of his state to a credible two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with the two states living side by side in peace, prosperity and harmony.
Dr. Malki, on a trip to Latin America and the Caribbean, thanked Brantley and passed along a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas thanking St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Timothy Harris.
It is worth mentioning that more than 135 countries have recognized a Palestinian state.
