June 20, 1948: The Battle of the Jewish Quarter in Jerusalem: The Zionist enemy tried to expand its control of the land of Palestine. The Palmach forces attacked the neighborhood after the new weapons and ammunition reached it during the so-called truce and raided the garrison and the Mujahideen with bullets and shells. When they approached, the garrison and the Mujahideen surprised them with their weapons and bombs for three hours this evening, the attackers left the enemy, leaving 85 dead bodies. The attack failed and the plan to enter the walls of Jerusalem failed until it was occupied at 1967.
