Secretary-general of the Fatah movement in Egypt Dr. Mohamed Gharib met with the Ambassador of the State of Chile to Egypt, Mr Pablo Arriarán at the headquarters of the Chilean Embassy.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Ambassador of Chile Mr. Sebastian Schneider, Mrs. Manal al-Abadla and Mr. Eid Al-Namoli members of the regional committee of the movement in Egypt.
Dr. Gharib briefed the Chilean Ambassador on the current situation in Palestine, the attempts to marginalize the Palestinian cause and undermining the Palestinian constants and rights, the importance of friendly states’ standing by the Palestinian cause, the role of today’s civilized world to put an end to the occupation all over the world, and the right of the Palestinian people to an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Chilean ambassador talked about the distinct role of Chilean citizens of Palestinian origin in all fields, expressed the hope to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
